On July 15, 2020, the third session of taskforce group of China (Jiangsu) Pilot Free Trade Zone Lianyungang Area was held. The session conveyed the directives of the second plenary session of the taskforce group of Provincial Pilot Free Trade Zone. The third session was briefed the work progress in promoting the Pilot Free Trade Zone and implementing the Construction Implementation Plan of China (Jiangsu) Pilot Free Trade Zone Lianyungang Area as well as the arrangement for the forthcoming work. The third session also reviewed the Interim Measures for Rewarding System Innovation Achievements in Pilot Free Trade Zone Lianyungang Area, and the Proposal for Optimizing the Establishment of Administrative Committee in Pilot Free Trade Zone Lianyungang Area. The session stressed the importance of faithfully implementing the resolution and deployment of the provincial party Committee and the provincial government, raise the bar for work performance and strengthen the responsibility, gearing up the construction of the Pilot Free Trade Zone. With the clear-sorted agenda and focused effort, it is proposed to prioritize the institutional innovation and harness the sound industrial development and spatial layout as major levers, so to speed up the platform construction, effectively promote project development, and build a strong engine for economic development. It is necessary to further deepen institutional innovation around the enterprise requirements to better serve their development. It’s also proposed to strengthen the regional linkage and coordination, reference and promote the fruits of institutional innovation, advance the cross-regional linkage outside the city, and better play out the demonstration and model effect of the construction of the Pilot Free Trade Zone.
